Hero Serve: Orchard House Classic Pear Highball (Summer Edition)
Ingredients
- 10ml pear eau de vie
- 10ml sugar syrup
- 20ml lemon juice
- 20ml apple juice
- Soda water
Method
Build in a highball glass over ice. Top with soda water, gently stir, and garnish with fresh pear slices.
The Tamdhu Mule
50ml Tamdhu Distinction or 50ml Tamdhu 12-Year-Old
Dash of Angostura bitters
A squeeze of fresh lime
Highball glass and ice
Top with ginger beer
Garnish with a wedge of lime or orange
Method
Fill a highball glass with ice. Add the Tamdhu Whisky, a dash of Angostura bitters and a squeeze of lime juice. Stir and then top up with ginger beer. Garnish with the citrus wedge.
FOR A JOHNNIE WALKER TYPE DAD
THE MIDNIGHT MAPLE
Ingredients
- 1 Bottle Angostura Bitters
- 100g Raisins or Dried Apricots
- 2 Cinnamon Sticks
- Knob of Ginger
- 10ml Maple Syrup
- 4 dashes of bitters to glass with ice
- A slice of Orange
What You Need
- Coupe glass
50ml Johnnie Walker Black Label
Mix all , stir for 30 seconds, strain into a coupe glass and garnish.
FOR A BOURBON-LOVING DAD
PAPPY’S PRIVATE PLACE
ingredients
- 3/4 ounce bourbon
- 3/4 ounce Amaro Nonino
- 3/4 ounce Aperol
- 3/4 ounce freshly squeezed lemon juice
Shake and strain into a frosty coupe.
Strain into a coupe.
FOR A GIBSON LOVING DAD WITH A FONDNESS FOR ANYTHING FRENCH
AN OLI GIBSON
Spray the saline solution into a well-frosted cup and an ice-cold glass, stir all the ingredients with a mixing spoon. Strain into the cup, spray again and serve with a brined onion.
- 8 cl Oli’Gin
- 0,5 cl Green Chartreuse
- Saline water
FOR A JAMESON IRISH WHISKEY-LOVING DAD
A TOUCH OF THE CHOCKY OLD FASHIONED
You require
2 dashes Angostura Bitters
2 dashes Chocolate Bitters
Honey chocolate syrup to taste
Ice cubes
2 parts Jameson Black Barrel
And give to him. He will work it out.
FOR A SOUR DAD
- 100ml pink grapefruit soda
- 15ml lime juice
- Ice
Give him a tall salt r-immed glass with some grapefruit soda andl already in it. Then give him a bottle of Patro tequila and let him perform his perfect pour.
FOR A RUM LOVING DAD
A MANSCAPED MOJITO!
Recipe:
1/2 ounce of fresh pineapple (puree, juice, or freshly chopped)
1/2 ounce fresh mango (puree, juice, or freshly chopped)
1/2 habanero pepper, chopped
2 ounces fresh yuzu juice
3-4 fresh kaffir lime leaves
1 ounce Lychee syrup
3 ounces Gosling Black Sea Rum
1 ounce ginger beer
Garnish: Fresh mint sprig
Preparation: Muddle, stir, pour into a Collins or highball glass filled with crushed ice. Top with the ginger beer and more rum

Recipe:
2-3 ounces Kraken Spiced Rum
4 ounces fresh pineapple juice
3 ounces cranberry juice
Garnish: fresh orange and pineapple wedges
Preparation: In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, add Kola Spiced rum, pineapple juice and cranberry juice. Shake well and strain into a Collins or highball glass filled with ice. Garnish with fresh orange and pineapple wedges.
For a Mezcal-Loving Dad
A MACHO MEZCAL
- Ingredients: 50 ml Explorer mezcal, 25 ml lime juice, and 20 ml Cointreau (or triple Sec).
- Preparation: Shake the ingredients vigorously with ice for \(10-12\) seconds. Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice and top with a splash San Pellegrino Limonata)

FOR A BEER AND GIN LOVING DAD
BEER SPRIZ.
- His favourite beer chilled
- 25ml Tanqueray gin
- 15ml elderflower cordial
- Lemon wedge
Pour the gin and cordial into a pint glass, add ice and top with cold lager. craft bee. Finish with a squeeze of lemon.
For a Gin Only- Loving Dad
Ingredients
50ml Mr. White’s Gin
20ml freshly squeezed lime juice
15ml simple syrup (adjust to taste)
60g sliced celery (plus extra for garnish)
2 lime wedges
Soda water (100–120ml)
Ice
Method
Slice a long celery ribbon for garnish and set aside.
Add sliced celery and lime wedges to a shaker and muddle to release the juices.
Add gin, lime juice and syrup.
Add ice and shake well for 10 seconds.
Strain into a tall glass filled with ice and top with soda water. Garnish with the celery ribbon.
Gin & Black Pepper Tonic
- 150ml tonic water
- Cracked black pepper
- Lime wedge
- Ice
Fill a balloon glass with ice, add the gin and tonic water, then finish with cracked black pepper and lime.
For a Temperate-type Dad
Earl For The Day Mocktail
2 Earl Grey tea bags
1 cup of boiling water
2 tablespoons of fresh squeezed orange juice
2 dashes of Angostura bitters
1 tablespoon of honey (or sweetener of your choice)
Ice cubes
Orange slices for garnish
Start by brewing a cup of strong Earl Grey tea and allowing it to steep for a few minutes. Once it’s brewed, remove the tea bags and let it cool. In a shaker, combine the cooled Earl Grey tea, 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed orange juice, 2 dashes bitters, and a drizzle of honey or agave syrup for a touch of sweetness. Give it a good shake to mix all the flavors together.
