New research reveals women are desperate for more time to themselves, and these effortless wine-and-snack pairings are designed to make every precious “me time” minute count…
From hiding in bed with Netflix to making a suspicious number of “quick trips” to the supermarket, British women are finding increasingly creative ways to steal a few precious moments of peace.
New research from Andrew Peace Wines has found women would LOVE two hours and 15 minutes of uninterrupted “me-time” every day to properly unwind, yet 83% admit they struggle to carve out any meaningful time alone whatsoever.
It’s perhaps no surprise. More than half (55%) say household chores eat into their downtime, while 43% spend their evenings cooking dinner, 41% are tackling the washing pile and over a third (36%) are vacuuming instead of relaxing. Even when they do get a moment, 37% admit they can’t switch off because they’re thinking about everything else that they should be doing.
Rather than elaborate dinners or entertaining, many women say what they really want is something simple. In fact, one in five says one of their favourite ways to unwind is sitting quietly in the garden with a glass of wine (with almost a quarter (23%) saying that they’d rather relax with a glass of wine than a traditional British cup of tea!)
With that in mind, Andrew Peace has teamed up with Instagram snack guru, ChloeAndLeox, who boasts over 224,000 followers. Chloe has created four fuss-free snack pairings that take just minutes to make, turning an ordinary evening into a proper “ahhh” moment.
What’s more, they all match perfectly with a glass of smooth Andrew Peace wine, from the brand’s flavourful Shiraz to its light and breezy Pinot Grigio. Hailing from a third-generation family vineyard in Victoria, Australia, the wines are a huge hit with Brits.
Whether it’s five full peaceful minutes on the patio after work, a Friday night on the sofa or a spontaneous catch-up with friends in the garden, these recipes prove you don’t need hours in the kitchen to make that precious unwind time extra special.
