220g self-raising flour
3 tablespoons sugar
60g cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 large egg
44ml unsalted butter (melted)
85g Camp Coffee
Optional – chocolate chips
210g icing sugar
2 tablespoons Camp Coffee
Pinch of salt
⦁ Put the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, and salt in a large bowl and mix together.
⦁ Whisk together all the wet ingredients in a separate bowl – egg, butter, milk, and Camp Coffee.
⦁ Now mix the two sets of ingredients together and stir or whisk to combine well.
⦁ Heat a frying pan, adding a knob of butter or drop of vegetable oil to your pan.
⦁ Carefully place a heart-shaped mould into your frying pan and pour the batter into it for each pancake. Cook until bubbles appear (around 2 minutes) and flip.
⦁ Repeat until you finish the batter.
⦁ Keep pancakes warm while you make your coffee glaze by mixing Camp Coffee, icing sugar, milk, and pinch of salt.
⦁ Serve your heart shaped pancakes with the Camp Coffee glaze drizzled over the top.
⦁ Sprinkle some chocolate drops on top for a special treat!
